Mukavaa alkavaa viikkoa!

Spring buds? Mermaid tails? Wings? Name of the pattern is "Fluke" so these tails belong to the whales.
I have been eyeing this pattern for a longer time already and I finally decided to do it. The pattern is by Eye Candy Quilts. It ended up being quite showy thanks to the big shapes.
The quilting has been done by Soile at Töölön Tilkkupaja. I have also bought a bundle of fabrics from her and I used some colors of it as a base for this quilt. I added some other fabrics to create a nice medley colors.
Often I find the backing from my own stash but this time I had to got out and buy one. This Bella Solid fabric is from Tilkkunen . Solid fabrics are often cheaper and they have large color variety. As a plus was that I was able to go to the store with my quilt top and get the perfect match.
The binding is also solid this time. I first sewed it to the backing and turned it to the front and sewed it with a machine.
I could have made curtains out of this (pic. pieces over the door), they would've been very pretty.
Shannon Fraser (Shannon Instagram) has made a blog post about quilter's sewing bags. You can find my heart sewing bag behind the link. Shannon is such a kind person!
The flowers in the last picture are Peruvian Lilies. We almost always have them at home, the colors just change. They are beautiful and long lasting.
Have a nice week!
