Kuvia kaivellessa löysin tämän kuvan, jossa palasia on ladottu mökin eteisen "suunnitteluseinälle". En muistanutkaan, että se on ollut siellä kesäompeluna.
Vaikka vielä löytyy joitain kesken eräisiä peittoja kaapista, niin taidan tehdä seuraavaksi jotain pientä. Äitini on pyytänyt jo pitkään tabletteja keittiön pöydälle, joten olisikohan siinä seuraava projekti.
This blue and white guilt called "Snow Diamonds" is for the 100 year old Finland. Our independence day was already in December but I just didn't make a blog post then. I'm not sure if the theme is very Finnish but the colors, blue and white are from our flag. The pattern is by Rebecca Smith, Emerald Ikat.
I quilted those diamonds with the same color as the fabric. In this case the quilting doesn't show so much and it's good that way.
Backing is light because the front is so strong. Blocks are made by paper piecing and it was really easy.
When I searched these photos I was surprised because the first blocks were made in June. I don't know how it took so long to finish this. Maybe too many projects at the same time.
Even though I still have many unfinished projects but it's time to make something smaller next.
Linking up with finish it up friday.
