My guest room needed some summer colors. Because the room is small, can one pillow make wonders. This fun pattern is from Love Quilting and Patchwork magazine. I've made a blue one once before but for some reason those pictures have disappeared from my blog.
Free quilting is a challenge for me but I would love to learn more of it. I have been to couple courses too but I just haven't practiced it enough. A pillow is a good size to try out my new machines free quilting qualities.
The original idea was to quilt each stripe with different pattern. I ended up just doing simple wavy lines through the whole quilt. I used Open-Toe Free-Motion Spring Foot.
The blocks are 2 3/4". That small block is not the fastest one for me to sew but after a while I started to get the hang of it.
To the back I put a gray fabric and a zipper with the quickest method I know.
I have few other curve piecing quilts going on. You might have seen pictures on Instagram already but I'll put them up here too once they are ready.
Have nice week!
