Loma on lomailtu ja arkeen ja pakkaseen palattu. Kohteena oli Singapore ja Vietnamissa Ho Chi Minh. Tässä pieni katsaus kangastarjonnasta, koitan saada oikein tiiviisti.

Holidays are behind us and I'm back to work in freezing Finland. Our destination was Singapore and Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh. Here is a little peak to the fabric selection.
Ensin Singapore. Ihan lähellä hotellia oli oikea tilkkukauppa nimeltään Quilts and Friends. Osoitetiedot ym. linkissä.
****
First destination was Singapore. Right next to our hotel was a real quilting store called Quilts and Friends.Addres and more in the link.
Tuliaiskankaitakin ostin, tietysti!

Cozy little store was full of interesting things but because I had my husband with me I had to be quick. Owner was very friendly and it was nice to hear about quilting in Singapore. And of course I bought some fabrics!
****

Tuliaisia? No ostin ja muutaman kukkaronkehyksen myöskin.
****
I only took few pictures with a permission since the owner seemed bit uptight about it. Did I buy anything? Well I sure did! I bought few frames for pouches among other things.
Little India oli varsin erikoinen paikka keskellä suurkaupunkia.
****
Little India was certainly an interesting place in the middle of a large city. There were fabric shops but mostly for clothes. Everything was so colorful that I couldn't focus on buying a dress fabrics so I just admired them.
****
From Vietnam I didn't buy any fabrics. I was just baffled by the chaotic traffic and the amount of mopeds.
Keskellä kaikkea hulinaa oli laadukas käsityömyymälä. Paikan nimi on Pekong Quilts.****
In middle of the hassle they also had a quality craft store. Name of this place is Pekong quilts.

Työt olivat harvinaisen kauniita ja taidolla tehtyjä. Tikkaukset ja aplikoinnit oli tehty käsin.

Pieces were beautiful and made with a lot of skill. Quiltings and applications were hand made.

If you run out of ideas and you have tried it all, next you can try a hammock for the summer.
Matkakäsityönä oli taas hexagonit, joita oli mukava ommella uima-altaalla. Yhtä ruutua vaille valmis pinta hangella. Mahdollisesti tästä tulee osa tyynyä.
****
So I wouldn't get bored I took hexagons with me. They were something little that was nice to do at the pool. Now I'm just missing one more piece.
Mukava on reissata mutta parasta tulla kotiin ja päästä taas omien tuttujen juttujen pariin!

Here are some of my purchases. They always seem to be the same colors. It is nice to travel but best thing is when you come back home and get back to your familiar things.
